PSI INTERNATIONAL, INC. AWARDED

VA/ADERS CONTRACT

 

FAIRFAX, VA --- PSI International, Inc. (PSI) announced today that it has been awarded a contract by the Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA) Pharmacy Benefits Management Strategic Healthcare Group (PBM SHG) to develop a nationwide, web-based Adverse Drug Event Reporting System (ADERS). The ADERS will be utilized by VA’s pharmacists from 140 plus medical centers to report their Adverse Drug Events (ADEs) internally and to Food and Drug Administration (FDA) through a single standard web portal. This system will totally revamp the reporting of VA’s ADEs; it is expected that the system, due to its ease of use and uniform system interface, will increase both the quantity and quality of the reported ADEs. ADERS will enable the management to conduct sound medical analysis of ADEs and take appropriate actions to improve the quality of health care provided to the nation’s veterans.
